Scott was born in Houston, Texas in 1959. He graduated from Tarleton State University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to receive a Master’s Degree from Tarleton State. After finishing his Master’s Degree, Scott attended the University of Houston Law Center where he earned his Juris Doctorate. He has been licensed in the state of Texas since 1988. Scott is also licensed in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas. In addition to this, Scott is a Certified Guardian ad Litem, specializing in personal injury cases of minors and CPS cases. Scott has significant experience in civil trial law. He is highly qualified in Business Law, Consumer Law, Construction Law, Deceptive Trade Practices, Breach of Contract, Oil & Gas, Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Medical Malpractice, Premise Liability, Products Liability, and Wrongful Death. Scott also specializes in the formation and dissolution of businesses and business contracts as well. Scott is a current member of the American Board of Advocates, Montgomery County Bar Association, where he is on the Board of Directors and has served as past President, Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas, and the American Association for Justice. Scott is a member of the Conroe Rotary Club, Montgomery County Food Bank, and Caney Creek High School Football Booster Club (Board/Past President). In addition, Scott is also a life member of the Montgomery County Fair Association, where he has served as Lifetime Vice President, on the Board of Directors, and is a member of the Lifetime Executive Board. He is also a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys ranching, farming, camping, and barbequing for his church and community events.
